Tenseien - Hakone

The rooftop onsen view was amazing during sunset.

I found the hotel too crowded for my liking, which detracted from my relaxation experience. I struggled to understand some of the facilities as most instructions were only in Japanese. Upon arrival, I wasn't informed about some customs, such as selecting a yukata, which left me feeling out of place during dinner.

we liked the hotel, its comfortable location and very, very nice staff. booked japanese-style room with central heating, a safe, and multi-channel tv. location : the venue was really close to beautiful waterfalls and temple in the back and a bus stop for min-bus an and shrine.

The breakfast was large with a wide range of excellent food. The room was large, with the private bath on the balcony.

We explored a nearby waterfall and a serene temple. The restaurant had decent food, though it's a bit on the pricier side. Parking was free for the first 5 hours, a nice touch.

One downside was not having an ice machine at the hotel. We had to buy ice from the store.

Good breakfast variety and clean Japanese-style room. No ice machine was disappointing.

Would recommend for a fleeting trip

Spacious room, convenient location, with easy access to local attractions like the nearby waterfall and temple garden, made our short visit enjoyable and hassle-free.

All was wonderful.

Solo travelers delight

The onsen experience here was a game changer for me, soaking in the rooftop pools while gazing at the mountains was amazing. The staff were cute and even demonstrated how to wear the yukata.

It was a bit pricey, but still within reason considering what it offered.

The outdoor garden was amazing. Perfect for a quiet stroll. The food offerings were diverse, blending savory japanese dishes with western favorites, good.

The private air bath in the Japanese-style room offered a relaxing escape, while the spacious and clean accommodations were a highlight of the stay. Dining featured an excellent buffet with local favorites alongside the delicious Bernese fries, which stood out. The crowded environment detracted from the experience, as the relaxation room was often full and the restaurant prices were on the higher side for average food quality.

great access to parks and cultural landmarks make everything easy

staying here was a fantastic experience with a fine waterfall and serene temple just a short walk away, making my urban explorations so rewarding.

My stay was lovely! Enjoyed the beautiful waterfalls outside and the fantastic onsen experience. Food was decent, but better options are expected. Will definitely come back!

Tenseien in Hakone is an ideal hotel with incredibly beautiful views of the mountains. the rooms are relaxing and comfy with central heating, personal safe, and multi-channel TV. the breakfast is rich and large with lots of options available. the check-in process is easy and there is on-site parking. Additionally, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

This place offers modern and fairly clean rooms with lovely Japanese decor and a pleasant view of the mountains.

The traditional-style building is charming and gives a relaxing vibe. the rooms are clean and come with a balcony, which is a nice touch. - I loved having a private bath on the balcony. - the location is perfect, surrounded by beautiful waterfalls, a temple, pond, and a shrine.

Whenever I visit the area, I always opt for this spot. It's a great hotel, super tidy and lovely 🌟. Plus, it's just a quick 10-minute walk to the closest bus stop.
